MESSAGE FROM THE DESK OF THE VICE PRINCIPAL

Dear Students and Respected Parents,

Greetings of peace, joy and blessings to you all!

It gives me immense joy and gratitude to be a part of the Don Bosco School, Jamtoli, Kolebira, where I joined as Vice Principal on 1st June 2025. As a member of this educational family, I feel privileged to accompany our students in their journey of learning, growth and character formation. I firmly believe that education is not merely the acquisition of knowledge but the formation of responsible, disciplined, compassionate and morally upright individuals who can contribute positively to society.

Creating an Environment for Education

Education flourishes best in an environment where children feel loved, encouraged, disciplined and motivated to learn. A school can provide classrooms, teachers, books and opportunities, but the true spirit of education develops when the school, parents and students work together with a common vision. Our children need an atmosphere that inspires curiosity, encourages creativity, promotes good values and helps them discover their God-given talents.

Dear students, remember that your future is shaped by the choices you make today. Develop the habit of reading, cultivate discipline, respect your teachers and parents, use your time wisely and never be afraid of hard work. Success does not come overnight; it is the result of small, consistent efforts made every day. Let your dreams be high, your values be strong and your commitment to learning be unwavering.

Parents: Your Role Is Irreplaceable

Dear parents, you are the first and most influential teachers in the lives of your children. Your love, guidance, encouragement and personal example shape their attitudes, habits and outlook towards life. In today’s challenging world, your involvement in your children’s education is more important than ever.

We live in an age when social media, smartphones, online games and the internet have become powerful influences on young minds. While technology offers many opportunities for learning and communication, its uncontrolled use can distract children from their studies, weaken family relationships, disturb their concentration and expose them to harmful influences. Simply providing children with modern facilities is not enough; they also need our time, attention and wise guidance. I therefore encourage every parent to create a positive learning environment at home. Set reasonable limits on screen time, monitor online activities with care, encourage reading and outdoor activities, and make time for meaningful family conversations. Help your children distinguish between the useful and harmful aspects of technology. Above all, listen to them patiently, appreciate their efforts, correct them with love and guide them through their difficulties. Your constant presence and support can make a lasting difference in their lives.
